Hort “Mitte“

The "Paulsstädter Fritzen" and "City-Hort" operate here as a duo

Paulsstadt • „Tell me and I will forget. Show me and I will remember. Involve me and I will understand.” (Confucius)
Trying things out for yourself, engaging with new experiences, and always being curious—these are the principles of Open Work at “Hort-Mitte” of the Kita gGmbH, where the “Paulsstädter Fritzen” and “City-Hort” work together to support the children. Independence is highly valued here – the children develop the ability to manage and organize their daily routines.

One key pillar of open after-school care is recognizing, strengthening, allowing, and expanding the children’s interests and needs—so that they experience participation, have a say in the daily activities of the facility, and take responsibility for themselves and others. Participation is not just written into the concept, but is lived out every day. From Hort-Mitte, our beautiful state capital is easy to explore. The facility itself also offers a wide variety of workshops, a homework program, and, of course, time for individual play. Leisure time and learning blend together wonderfully here.

The “Mitte” location is a modern, spacious building that invites the children to structure their after-school routine independently by organizing their time, choosing spaces, and selecting play partners. To meet the children’s need for movement, the playground offers a variety of opportunities to burn off energy and relax outdoors with friends. They can choose from a wide range of leisure activities, with diverse functional rooms where budding architects, curious researchers, and creative thinkers and crafters can show what they’re capable of, just as future craftsmen, star chefs, performers, IT specialists, and sports enthusiasts can. However, those who wish can simply relax with friends. We not only give the children space and time but also provide a safe framework, supported by dedicated and highly motivated educational staff. Feel free to take a look at the concepts of the “Paulsstädter Fritzen” and “City-Hort” as well.
