Hort “Paulsstädter Fritzen“

trio of open work, cooperation, and diversity

Paulsstadt • Three names, three concepts – yet one unity at Kita gGmbH: The Paulsstädter Fritzen are an independent facility and use the Hort Mitte as a shared branch with the equally independent City-Hort. While the branch location is modern in style, the Paulsstädter Fritzen building exudes a more traditional, family-friendly charm. The 200-year-old structure offers a wealth of architectural features – starting with rooms of various sizes. One of the smaller rooms invites children to play with soft building blocks or train on a punching bag, while in another, they can discover rare musical instruments such as the Agogo, Kantele, or Monochord.

Here, they can also experience sound stories and relax to soothing nature sounds. In the larger rooms, creativity, chilling, and exploration take center stage. The important thing is that, despite the old building, all the rooms are designed in a modern way and are well-equipped.

What unites the three locations is their shared value system: Every educator at our facilities is a point of contact for our after-school children and always has an open ear for the parents. We don’t just talk about it, we get things done – this is a core motto for the Paulsstädter Fritzen. The concept of Open Work is also central to all three locations: Our children experience a balanced relationship between leisure and learning. They develop the ability to organize themselves while receiving support in doing so – for example, through diverse workshops and homework supervision. The result is a good mix of personal responsibility, as well as tolerance, consideration, and respect for others.

In everything the children learn for their future, the here and now is, of course, filled with adventure and opportunities to burn off energy: The playground of the Fritz-Reuter Primary School, to which the Paulsstädter Fritzen are attached, for example, boasts galactic play equipment.
