Lankow • As soon as you enter our unique, spacious grounds of Kita “Anne Frank” (Kita gGmbH) on Möllner Street, you can feel the urge to play, run, romp, and explore the environment. Numerous play and experience areas invite children to discover, experiment, and move. Here, no one stands still: indoors or outdoors, the 30 toddlers and 64 kindergarten children can let loose and actively participate in our open-concept approach.
The journey of discovery at "Anne Frank" daycare ranges from high activity to relaxation. The principle of participation applies across all areas. An elected children’s council is actively involved here. The children contribute to project planning and bring their own ideas into the functional spaces—which are diverse. At the heart of our facility is a large movement room equipped with mirrors, climbing walls, and ladders. Children of all ages make holistic discoveries here every day. There are play and sports equipment to encourage movement development, as well as yoga for relaxation. This helps us meet the varied needs of the children.
Numerous play and experience areas invite children outdoors on their explorations: hiding in the bushes, kicking a ball on the soccer field, testing new skills on the climbing frame, building castles in the sandbox, racing on the track, feeling the wind on their faces while swinging, checking vehicles at the park's gas station, lying on the grass to interpret cloud shapes, using the hill as a viewpoint, for sliding or sledding, playing in the mud kitchen, handling animals with care, and snacking in the garden. Our children discover their worlds in their own way. Through a wide range of projects, they open up new worlds of experience and embark on explorations both inside and outside the daycare.
Our multi-professional team observes, provides impulses, and views itself as partners to the children. The balancing act between physical and emotional well-being is achieved here quite literally through play.
