Kita gGmbH

Diverse concepts for daycare, kindergarten, and after-school care

As Kita gGmbH, we operate 25 daycare centers and after-school care across the entire city of Schwerin. We welcome all parents who wish to bring their children to us, regardless of their religion, origin, or income. More than 2,800 children benefit from our various concepts. The well-being of our approximately 380 employees is at the center of our work.

We embrace diversity with individualized educational and developmental focuses. We also address new needs, such as our 24-hour daycare centers. It is always important to us to work closely and respectfully with parents, institutions, businesses, politics, and the responsible authorities.

How we work and how we see the world of our children and employees is captured in our mission statement, which is called ZEI-T-RÄUME:

We give children time and space to live their dreams. We also give ourselves, as employees, time and space to fulfill our own dreams and goals.

On our way toward this, our collective goal is to contribute to equal opportunities and enable individual development.

We excel in – exchange, reflection, and innovation.

In light of societal changes, we continuously define and develop our educational principles and their implementation.

This process is supported by our own value observation. It motivates the continuous development of our teamwork.

We agree that values such as openness, mindfulness, appreciation, and willingness to change are particularly important to us.

We take a critical stance toward behaviors such as inconsiderateness, closed-mindedness toward change, silo thinking, and distrust.

Our aspiration is to engage people in activities, enable authentic encounters, promote sustainability, and strengthen collective development. As Kita gGmbH, we see ourselves in our conceptually diverse educational and meeting places as: Shapers of the future – Conveyors of values – Cooperation partners – Guides – Providers of opportunities – Networkers and employers in municipal sponsorship.
