Haselholz • Our children play where others vacation: in an idyllic location with a magnificent view of Ostorfer Lake, our daycare center "Wirbelwind" of the Kita gGmbH presents itself. Our naturally designed, terraced outdoor area invites the 30 toddlers and 72 kindergarten children to explore their world in a playful way and with all their senses. Here, there is room for various physical and movement experiences. These include a large sand play area, different climbing opportunities, a water play facility, and a natural slope with a watercourse.
Of course, after an adventurous day, the children are bound to get dirty, as exploring with all senses means splashing around, rolling down the slope, playing hide and seek in the bushes, and doing everything that truly brings joy to children. Therefore, parents who bring their children to us should ensure that they are dressed in practical, weather-appropriate clothing. As a certified Kneipp daycare center, we incorporate the health teachings of Sebastian Kneipp into our daily routine. Every day, before the afternoon rest, all the children participate in cold water walking, which stimulates circulation and strengthens the immune system. Regular sessions in the infrared sauna, joint cooking days, as well as movement and relaxation activities, complement our offerings.
Inside, functional rooms invite the children to engage with various topics, dive into role play, and be creative. There are spaces such as a building room, theater room, STEM room, creative room, workshop, and media room waiting for the kids. Exciting projects are also frequently created, such as a construction site in the outdoor area that promotes co-constructive learning: the children build and play on the site in various ways using everyday materials like boards, beverage crates, and pipes. The ideas emerge during play and are constantly reimagined in lively exchanges. The educational staff base their work on the strengths, interests, and current topics of the children, acting as partners, supporters, and initiators.
