Nothing is more authentic than nature: for children, it’s the most wonderful playground in the world. Our small, family-oriented daycare is located on the outskirts of Schwerin, peacefully nestled between forest, park, and the Ziegelaußensee. With 25 nursery and 45 kindergarten places, the “Naturkita” is one of the smaller facilities of Kita gGmbH.

Whether it’s forest or explorer days, hiding behind bushes, playing in the mud, or preparing various dishes in our own clay oven – the Naturkita offers plenty of space for discovery and experimentation. On our nature-inspired grounds, children experience movement, creativity, and shared learning. In our Naturkita, children discover the world with all their senses – outdoors, freely, and according to their needs.

We place each child, with their individual needs, emotions, and developmental steps, at the center of our work. We closely observe what a child needs – whether closeness, rest, movement, challenge, or retreat – and shape everyday life in a way that respectfully and age-appropriately meets those needs. We see it as our mission to offer inspiration, create a stimulating learning environment, motivate and accompany children, and listen to them.

Social interaction and a respectful approach to nature are of great importance to us. Weather-appropriate clothing and footwear, as well as health-promoting practices, are a matter of course.
