It’s the summer festival for the whole family. Zippendorfer Strand is transformed into a sandy stretch packed with activities: there’s a balloon crane ride, a trampoline, chess, a hydrofoil, the Neptunfest organised by Kita gGmbH, a stage programme under the large parasol, and of course food and drink. If you fancy it, you can take a 3-euro ferry from the beach to Kaninchenwerder Island – the Hauspost boat makes it possible. And on Sunday, it’s time once again for the big NDR Choir Contest.

Here is the programme for the Standwerke Beach Festival:

Island fun on Saturday and Sunday
1.00 pm, 2.30 pm, 4.00 pm: Guided island walk
All day: Archery, taster fishing, self-guided tower tour, face painting for children, a wide range of culinary delights, games, fun and information with Stadtwerke Schwerin
